During
this one of the Tours in Hungary you leave the capital of Hungary in the western
direction and after an hour driving you can reach the largest sweet water lake
in Middle - Europe, called Lake of Balaton. The lake is about 100 kilometers
long and from 2 to 5 kilometers wide. The northern part of it is hilly, the
southern coast is totally flat. This is the most famous holiday area in Hungary.
You start the tour on the southern coast. The first stop is at Siófok, which is
the largest city on this side of the lake. You can take a long walk along the
promenade and have a look at the busy summer life. Afterwards you cross the lake
by ferry and you reach Tihany already ont he northern coast. In this city is the
old Abbey ont he top of the hill. Of course the view is wonderful. In the
church you can see the copy of the document which was the very first to be
written in Hungarian language. After a short walk we take you to a restaurant
where you get lunch - three course menu. The last stop during the tour is at
Balatonfüred. Here you get free - time. You can have a bath in the lake or you
can go for a walk. From here we drive you back to Budapest.
Pick up is free - we go to pick you up at your hotel and at the end
of the tour we take you back there as well. In case you would like to finish it
on another spot, it's possible too.
