The most beautiful sights of the capital during a two hours Budapest City
Tour. Get an overview of Budapest, take a look at the most beautiful and most
important buildings of the city. You have the possibility to visit both sides -
Buda, which is the hilly and Pest, which is the flat one. On the Pest side we
take you to the Heroes Square, where you can see the statues of the most
important heroes from the Hungarian history. Along the nicest promenade in
Budapest you reach the city center where you can take a look at the St. Stephen
Basilica. On the Danube band is situated the largest and probably the nicest
building in Hungary : the Parliament. After passing it you cross the Margaret
Bridge and so you reach the Buda side. Here you visit the Castle District -
Matthias Church, Fishermen's Bastion. You have the possibility to make a short
walk as well. After all of it we take you onto the top of the Gellért hill. From
up there is a wonderful view to the whole city. Up there is the Citadell, the
former military fortress, which one was built during the Austria - Hungarian
Monarchy.
During the Budapest city tour you will have three stops : Heroes Square,
Castle District and on the top of the Gellért hill.
After the Budapest City Tour we take you to Szentendre - to the Mediterranean
artists' town. It's situated about half an hour driving distance from the city
center. You can have a short walk to see the little old houses, the wonderful
main square with the holy trinity monument and the thousands of shops. Along the
Danube band is the nice promenade with cafes, restaurants, ice cafes.
For lunch we take you to a traditional restaurant. You get a three course
menu, of course typical Hungarian dishes. To the restaurant belongs the National
Wine Museum where wine-tasting is included. You can try different wines from all
around Hungary. After lunch in the town of artists' you can visit as well the
Margit Kovács ceramic musem or the confectionary museum. Free time and shopping
in the local shops is also possible.
Pick up is free - we go to pick you up at your hotel and at the end
of the tour we take you back there as well. In case you would like to finish it
on another spot, it's possible too.
